André Collot (1897 – 1976) was known for his risqué illustrations for fine press semi-erotica. Collot was born in Montigny-le-Roi (Haute-Marne) in 1897
Prolific, known for his illustrations of ribald and erotic books by Pascal Pia in 1931 he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne and the Salon of Independent Artists in 1942 and in 1943.
Before and after World War II , he produced a large amount of illustrations (etchings, engravings on glass, wood), sometimes undated books and published clandestinely.
